His clinical practice is guided by a deep passion for animals and a vision of medicine based on responsibility, balance, and respect for teamwork. A lover of the mountains and the outdoors, he brings the same approach of attention, rigor, and awareness to his work.

Franco Galluzzi is a founding member of the Castellarano Veterinary Clinic and specializes in internal medicine, with over thirty years of clinical experience. He graduated with honors in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma and has extensively studied various areas of the discipline.


Over the years he developed a strong interest in urology and became a point of reference

For the management of lower urinary tract disorders, particularly incontinence and urinary retention. At the Clinic, he performs urodynamic studies and provides specialized treatments. He has published scientific articles on these topics in national and international journals.


He is a member of the SIUD (Italian Society of Urodynamics) and the ICS (International Continence Society). He has always believed that teamwork is essential to providing patients with the best care. His approach combines clinical methodology, ongoing training, and a strong focus on patient quality of life.

Giliola Spattini

Giliola Spattini is a founding member of the Castellarano Veterinary Clinic and specializes in Diagnostic Imaging, with a high-profile clinical and scientific background.


Graduated with honors in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma, she completed her training by obtaining the title of European Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging (DECVDI) after long periods of study and research abroad.


He also holds a PhD in Animal Health and is actively involved in consulting, research, and teaching at national and international levels.


She is the author of books on diagnostic imaging and scientific publications in national and international journals. She directs numerous training courses both in Italy and abroad.


At the Clinic, she focuses specifically on advanced diagnostic imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasound, a highly valuable technique especially for sporting dogs and elderly patients. She works closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive and shared patient care.

Simona Gemmi

Simona Gemmi is a veterinarian at the Castellarano Veterinary Clinic, specializing in internal medicine and ophthalmology. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma and has built her professional career through ongoing clinical and training development, both nationally and internationally.


After her initial postgraduate work, she furthered her knowledge of internal medicine and clinical pathology through an internship at the San Marco Companion Animal Clinic in Padua. Erika Guidetti is a veterinarian at the Castellarano Veterinary Clinic, specializing in laboratory medicine and cytology. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma and completed her postgraduate internship at the same clinic, gaining over seven years of diagnostic experience.


In the laboratory, she manages and analyzes internal tests, with a particular focus on cytological interpretation and diagnostic support for clinical departments. Elena Sciortino is a veterinary technician at the Castellarano Veterinary Clinic, working in the inpatient, emergency, and intensive care units. Since 2025, she has furthered her knowledge of emergency and intensive care by completing the ISVPS Emergency Medicine Training Program and obtaining the RECOVER CPR certification.


She is responsible for managing hospitalized patients, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, taking blood samples, and inserting intravenous access devices, actively collaborating in the management of critically ill patients and emergencies. Her work requires precision, promptness, and the ability to work in high-intensity clinical situations. She is also responsible for organizing shifts and coordinating the nursing department.

Greta Manzini
